Caige McAuliffe is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator with nearly a decade of experience at the intersection of mental health and the legal system. Based in St. Johns County, he serves attorneys, courts, clinicians, and individuals across Northeast Florida.
Background & Training
Caige holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology from Flagler College. That combination of clinical and criminal justice training is not incidental — it is foundational to how he approaches every case.
His clinical background spans juvenile justice case management, community crisis response, school-based social work, therapeutic foster care, and private practice. He is EMDRIA-trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), with extensive experience working alongside court-involved populations from both sides of the legal process.
Caige has prepared clinical documentation for the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Department of Children and Families, and the Department of Education. He understands what attorneys, judges, and legal professionals require from a forensic report, and writes accordingly.

Forensic mental health evaluation is a distinct discipline. It requires more than clinical skill — it demands a working knowledge of legal standards, court procedures, and the evidentiary weight that professional opinions carry inside a courtroom.
Caige operates as a fully independent evaluator. His conclusions are determined by the clinical evidence, not by the preferences of retaining counsel. Every evaluation is conducted with the same standard regardless of who initiates the referral — thorough, ethical, and defensible from the first interview to the final report.
He accepts referrals selectively. Before taking a case, the scope must be clearly defined, his qualifications must be the right fit, and all parties must understand that the findings go where the data leads.
